At Rockland Green, our mission is to develop education, programs, and technology to lead the waste prevention, recovery, and responsible disposal movement in Rockland County. This mission will ultimately make our county and our planet environmentally friendly! 

Rockland Green is building a brand new, state-of-the-art Materials Recovery Facility to assist in reducing our environmental impact, while also upgrading our processing capacity. The new facility will be located right here in Hillburn, NY. 

With the addition of our new facility, we plan to increase our recyclables processing capacity and produce a cleaner, more marketable product that can be reused by YOU!

The New Materials Facility will be able to process more than 70,000 tons of commingled plastics, glass, mixed paper, and cardboard per year.
